Pediatric Physical/occupational Therapist 

Year One Wellness is a pediatric therapy and wellness company specializing in infant and early development. We take pride in providing high quality, 1-on-1, and personalized care to every one of our clients. We are an out-of-network private practice providing in-person home and clinic visits to residents of Austin, TX and surrounding areas. We also provide virtual therapy care to all of Texas, and virtual wellness care everywhere.

Year One Wellness strives to provide judgment-free and unbiased healthcare to all families. We work with our families to create programs that cater to their goals. Therapy treatment is provided to infants with diagnoses including, torticollis, plagiocephaly, milestone delay, tongue tie, breastfeeding difficulty, feeding difficulty, and other neurologic and genetic disorders. Wellness care is provided to families looking for purposeful play activities and general education to promote development. 

We are looking to add a physical or occupational therapist to our team who is just as passionate about working with infants as we are! Our ideal candidate has experience working with infants and is willing to learn more about infant treatment from a full-body approach. They will be eager to participate in continuing education and team discussions to provide excellent and evidenced-based care to all clients. They are positive, patient, and attentive to provide an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Part or full-time position managing home visits with the opportunity to grow into a clinic position

  • Physical/occupational therapy and/or wellness treatment and associated documentation

  • Scheduling clients and managing plans of care

  • Communicating with clients and other healthcare providers via email and/or phone as needed

  • Attending regular team meetings 

  • Seek out continuing education opportunities related to pediatrics and/or infant development

  • Attend community events to educate and share about infant development and therapy

  • Optional paid administrative, marketing, and social media tasks under the direction of your manager

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and soft skills

  • Ability to educate and teach others to cater to their learning styles (parents, children, providers)

  • Good time management of appointments

  • Efficient use of technology (typing, electronic documentation, text/email/phone, fax) for charting and communication

  • Knowledge of current and evidenced-based pediatric therapy practices

Qualifications:

  • Physical/Occupational therapy degree from an accredited program 

  • Current Texas state physical/occupational therapy licensure

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants as a physical/occupational therapist

  • Reliable method of transportation for home visits

  • Professional behavior 

  • Ability to manage self, schedule, and caseload 

  • Team-oriented behavior
